Outlook Express Email Setup

How to check your iMarc mail with Outlook Express

Step One: Edit Accounts

Under the Tools menu, select Accounts…

Step Two: Select Account

Step 2

The ‘Internet Accounts’ window will open

Select the Mail tab

Add a new mail account if you’re a new iMarc client.

If you’re an existing iMarc client, changing mail servers, select your current email account and click Properties

Step Two: Select Account

The account properties window will open

Select the Servers tab

Change both “Incoming mail (POP3)” and “Outgoing mail (SMTP)” to mail.[YOUR-DOMAIN.COM]

Replace [YOUR-DOMAIN.COM] with your website domain. If your site is www.example.com, your email servers are mail.example.com. If your site is www.imarc.net, your mail servers are mail.imarc.net

Set Account Name to the account name, username, or login assigned to you by iMarc — this is probably the part of your email address before the “@”.

Make sure that Log on using Secure Password Authentication is unchecked

Make sure that My server requires authentication is checked

Click Settings… next to “My server requires authentication”

Step Two: Select Account

Step 4

The “Outgoing Mail Server” window will open

Make sure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is checked on.


Step 5

Click “OK” or “Apply” to all windows, until they all close.

Check your mail!
