What do Cole Porter and Social Distortion have in common? At this very moment? I am listening to them both simultaneously from dueling stages just outside my office window.
In all seriousness, it's a small price to pay for our awesome location and offices, but it is festival season here in Newburyport, and Yankee Homecoming, the granddaddy of them all is going on this week. 25 yards in one direction a trio of four 50-somethings (that's their story and they're sticking to it) is crooning show tunes, and 25 yards in the other direction, a better-that-average quartet of angst-filled teens is doing pretty good justice to punk and alternative rock songs.
The entire back of my head feels like...foam. That's the best I can describe it. Soliciting recommendations for noise canceling headphones please.
