Lunchroom Banter: Volume XI, err, I mean (Volume XIII)

by Robert Mohns - June 26, 2007 / 9:50am View more articles

&I walked into the Developer Room on the third floor, and found Dave unboxing a Frigidaire window air conditioner...
  1. Rob: Did the server room AC fail?</li;
  2. Dave: No, it's going to be a hundred degrees this week and I want these guys to work instead of complaining.
  3. Developers: *collectively burst out laughing*

I can't hear my own thoughts over Patrick's complaining.

The real reason you never see the light of day in Vegas ;-)

It's an unwritten rule here in Vegas, but none of the casino's have clocks. The idea being if you don't know what time it is you won't be motivated to leave.

What they should really do is Dual Thermometers. Show Inside Temp. V. Outside Temp. Guarantee if I could see that it was a nice cool 65 inside and a hot hellish 110 outside, I'd drop another $20.

It's only money right?

Shouldn't this be volume XIII?

We obviously need to apply better standards to our lunchroom banter naming conventions.

As the original author, they should be:
Lunchroom Banter (Volume N)

*Note the capitalization, use of parenthesis, lack of a colon, and use of the word "Volume".

@Dave: oops. Volume XII appears on http://www.imarc.net/search/banter but i glossed right over its presence...

@Dave

Moral of the story: If you encourage people to write blogs similar to previous works of your own, don't expect them to be perfect replicas unless you set some ground rules!
