Look and Feel

A coworker introduced me to a fun little iPhone application today. CameraBag imitates a variety of common cameras from the past century.

Each style evokes a sense of the past, ranging from gritty 1960's photojournalism, to faded photos from my childhood years, to Ansel Adams' smooth black and whites, to the beautiful low-fi Holga of the 80's.

I was struck by how this feel changes the subject; how profoundly content is affected by its presentation. Compare: modern, artistic, gentle, exciting — you begin to form an opinion on the content before you even begin to read it.
